Ecology, Conservation and Biodiversity Research Theme

Alt1

Welcome from the theme director

The Ecology, Conservation and Biodiversity Research Theme at Otago University is a grouping of ecologists working in diverse fields - terrestrial, freshwater and marine. Informally we call ourselves the ERG (Ecology Research Group). Our aims are (i) to encourage the exchange of ideas and information amongst ecologists working in different disciplines and departments, (ii) to foster interdisciplinary research within the University and between the University and other interested parties and (iii) to increase awareness of the strength and range of ecological research at the University and to work closely with the Ecology Board of Studies to ensure synergy between research, teaching and learning in ecology. Any Otago staff member or student performing ecological research is very welcome to join.
